#CRUCIAL CLONE DRIVE RESTARTS WINDOWS 10#
The Windows 10 still boots from my old SSD, but the cloning to new NVMe fails and it is unbootable. Once the progress reaches 100% I get a BSOD saying BAD SYSTEM CONFIG INFO.

The PC restarts and program runs as normal for 10-15 mins. I immediately get an error that C drive is in use, which I read is normal, and I clicked on the restart option. As I stated, given I have TechTool Pro, it does with Disk Utility can do. However I am migrating to a Larger Drive. If you clone a disk with Windows to an external USB hard drive, you will not be able to boot from it. Then I can select the Disk to Restore to: If you are keeping the same SSD you can select Copy selected Partitions. In such a case, try to back up the source HDD and restore it to the target HDD using Acronis Universal Restore.

Then I ran the minotool program and proceeded to cloning setup with default options (Fit partians to entire disk, Align partitions to 1MB). The cloned HDD may become unbootable because of the lack of drivers that can be necessary for the target system. I ran diskmgmt.msc first, a pop-up came through asking if I want the new NVMe to be MBR or GPT, I selected MBR (I read on a forum to select that option, so I did). It has been so long since I did any PC configuration but a quick Google search led me to Minitool partitian wizard (version 11, since the latest version does not offer cloning in free version) to clone my current Crucial BX500 1TB 2.5" 3D NAND SATA SSD to the new NVMe. Provide the exact description of the entire process: the environment under which the operation has been performed is important.I installed a new Kingstone A2000 m.2 NVMe on my ASUS Tuf B450m-plus motherboard today.(in older versions, "Save all" button can be found in the upper menu) Collect the log of the cloning operation from within Bootable Media: open the Log view, right-click on the necessary log and select Save all. Long story short, got the SSD, cloned the eMMC several times using Partition Wizard and Macrium Reflect v6 (both free versions) - Acronis 2015 from Crucial promo couldnt even read the eMMC at the beginning of the clone process LOL - tried to adjust partitions and just duplicating source drive, leaving huge amount of unallocated space on the SSD.When handling your SSD, try not to touch its gold connector pins with your fingers.

The drive must be connected to proceed with the Acronis software installation and cloning process.

If nothing helps, go to Collect information part When attempting to clone a drive using Acronis True Image for Crucial® on some systems that have a UEFI, it is possible for the software to be prevented from entering the correct environment to start the clone. If the issue persists, try to fix system bootability following these instructions.Try to perform cloning using Bootable media. Before you do the clone job, please connect Crucial SSD to your PC, and make. In case, if your original hard drive fails, you can quickly swap it with the clone. The contents are saved as a disk image file and can be transferred to storage devices like DVD, hard drive, or USB drive. If the source machine used AHCI mode, try to turn on the AHCI mode on the target machine AOMEI Backupper Standard is a free SSD cloning software with user-friendly interface and works well on all Crucial SSDs, including Crucial MX100, Crucial MX200, Crucial MX500, Crucial BX500, M500 Series, etc, so you can complete the cloning job in only a few clicks. Hard drive cloning is a process of creating 1 to 1 copy of the content of hard drive or solid-state drive.
